Community Storytelling Is the New Brand Strategy

This month I had the chance to meet Olga — an entrepreneur who built her food truck from the ground up with her family, serving her community out of pure determination and love for what she does.

These are the stories that matter. Not just because they inspire, but because they reflect the communities we're actually trying to reach.

This piece was part of a campaign with Gardner Health Services, focused on staying on top of your health. But instead of leading with statistics or slogans, we grounded it in a real story — someone people could actually see themselves in. Olga wasn't a spokesperson. She was a neighbor.

I'm starting to believe more and more that the future of local advertising isn't louder messaging — it's more honest storytelling. Audiences are tired of being sold to. What moves people is recognition. Seeing their own lives reflected back at them with dignity and care.

That's what community storytelling can do when it's done right. And that's the work I want to keep making.

Meet Olga — entrepreneur, mother, and the heart behind this story.
